For a while, I've been waiting. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Thank goodness my patience has been at a high level. The waiting has ended. Pixar, here I come. =)
...oh, and this is a vizdev piece for that one short film project.
I've been wanting to do one of these bad boys for so long - it's so fun! I tried incorporating some design and composition elements in there as well just to mix things up. This one's for a personal project that I've been working on for quite some time now. Too bad it got shelved. I had story issues that I simply had to let go, but those sleepless nights did not go to waste let me tell you. I'll be posting some more pre-pro vizdev in the future. But for now, enjoy.
I was flipping through my book and found a couple of sketches that I've always wanted to post. One's from when I was in Union Square in San Francisco and the other one...well, let me tell you a story...
So I was at Comic Con last summer waiting for the Disney/Pixar panel and presentation to begin - and sitting right in front of me was this fellow. The display was sort of distracting and my company noticed as well. It was a crack up.
I graduated from SJSU's Animation/Illustration program in 2008. I was an intern at Disney Animation in 2007, and now work at Pixar Animation Studios as a Sketch Artist. Besides my love for Animation, I also love to cook and manipulate time with turntables.
